Happy “Made it Monday!” I’ve been out of town for the last week and I’m just getting back into the swing of a normal daily routine. You’ll hear more about the trip later. However, right now I wanted to tell you about my latest project. This one was a specific request from my mom for her birthday last month. She found this pattern on Pinterest and forwarded it to me. She even picked out the yarn! She made it pretty easy for me. So, today, I’m making it pretty easy for you. Here is the Island Lace Scarf and all you need to know to make your own!
You can find the pattern to this scarf over at Fiber Flux. It was an incredibly easy and quick pattern to follow. If you’re a beginner, this would be a good project especially with the Spring and Summer on the horizon. This particular scarf is good for warmer weather as it is lightweight and brilliant in color. The pattern called for Boutique Unforgettable Yarn from Red Heart. They had it in “Parrot” as their color choice, but my mom chose “Candied”. The yarn was great to work with and the pattern only took one skein.
The picture of the scarf on the pattern made it look like the scarf was wider. However, it was actually longer and more narrow. However, once it was done, I felt like it laid well around the neck and was definitely a good choice when it’s warmer out. I would highly recommend this pattern to anyone. My mom loved it and I have a feeling she’ll be wanting more in the near future.
What do you think? Does this give you the island vibes?
